✔ Simple room layout / mechanical sketch

Hour 3: Editing & Accuracy

• Move
• Copy
• Trim
• Extend
• Offset
• Mirror
• Fillet (rounded corners)
• Chamfer (sharp corners)
• Selection methods (window, crossing)

✔ Clean and align shapes accurately

Day 2 – Organizing, Annotating & Printing (3 Hours)

Hour 1: Layers & Properties

• What are layers and why they are important
• Create, rename, delete layers
• Assign colors & line types
• Layer on/off, freeze
• Properties panel (color, line weight)

Practice:

✔ Organize drawing into layers (walls, doors, text)

Hour 2: Text, Dimensions & Blocks

• Text:
  • Single-line text
  • Multi-line text
  • Text styles
• Dimensions:
  • Linear dimension
  • Aligned dimension
  • Dimension styles
• Blocks:
  • What is a block?
  • Create a simple block (door / window)
  • Insert, scale & rotate blocks

Practice:

✔ Add room names

✔ Add dimensions

✔ Insert door/window blocks

Hour 3: Layout, Scale & Output

• Model Space vs Layout Space
• Paper size setup (A4 / A3)
• Drawing scale (1:50, 1:100)
• Viewports (basic)
• Plot settings
• Export to PDF

Practice:

✔ Final clean drawing

✔ Print to PDF with correct scale
